Delicate Oval Engagement Ring
Our client was seeking a delicate engagement oval engagement ring. This design, with a point of difference was the perfect fit. He had decided that he did not want a round brilliant diamond but wanted the assurances of a classic diamond shape. As such, he chose an oval shape diamond. This cut still had the dazzling scintillation as the round brilliant cut. The faceting in the oval cut diamond results in a beautiful display of brilliance and fire.
The oval 1.20 carat diamond was chosen for its elegance, which also delivers excellent value in total diamond weight compared to a round brilliant diamond. The band has been set with small round brilliants to add that extra level of luxury, while keeping the design uncluttered and classic.
When crafting a delicate engagement ring strength and longevity is important to consider. We achieved this by adding shoulders to the design. This means the band was connected to the setting twice, as per our Rue Cler Setting.
